I am sharing a quick, beautiful project that takes only minutes to put together but adds so much texture and joy to your pages:
Stepped Waterfall Notes.
If you have 4 or 5 strips of paper lying around, you already have everything you need to make this beautiful cascade.
How to Build the Waterfall Base
The magic of this technique is in how simple it is to construct.
* Layer your paper: Take your 4 or 5 strips of paper and lay them on top of one another, leaving a small, equal gap at the bottom of each sheet to create the steps.
* Fold and align: Carefully fold the stack in half, matching the top edges up to the rest of the overlays. Press down a sharp crease, and there you have it—an instant, perfectly spaced stepped effect!

Two Ways to Style Your Waterfall Notes
To help spark your own creative ideas, I put together two entirely different finishes in my latest video tutorial:
1. The Delicate Lace Cover
For a soft, romantic, and highly tactile feel, I glued a piece of beautiful vintage white lace across the top band. The lace drapes over the stepped papers, acting as a delicate, sheer cover that you can gently lift up to reveal the writing space hidden underneath.
2. The Botanical Wax Seal
If you prefer a rustic, earthy feel, try styling your waterfall notes with a botanical touch. Secure the top of your paper stack with a single pressed dried flower, then pour a beautiful custom wax seal directly over the stem to lock it in place. It looks incredibly ancient and serves as a gorgeous focal point for any page layout.
