AHHH…THE BOX OF DELIGHTS…..There is a nice story behind this box and this is how it goes.

This BOX had been in Norahs bedroom for many,many years. Her father had insisted that it remained in the family and it has…it now resides with lil ol me!!!

Her father was known as a cooper by trade but what has come to light sems to make sense as to why this BOX was so special…

…you see, before he became a cooper he and his brothers were boxmakers. His sister, a candlemaker.

The candlewax on and inside the box remains and this simple box continues to hold old  and embrace new memories to add to those which go back to the late 1890’s.

I feel a very powerful and dare I say overwhelming sense of life from this box, and for all it’s simplicity I think we can safely say (123ish years later)…THEY DON’T MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TOO!!!!x
